What is Remote Configuration?
Remote Configuration allows parents to control key SafetyMode features — like app access, content filters, and notifications — directly from the Manage Portal. Any changes you make are applied automatically to your child’s phone.
How do I access Remote Configuration?
Log in to the Manage Portal with your parent account. From there, you’ll see your linked device and options to manage settings remotely.
What settings can I adjust remotely?
You can:
Enable or disable apps from the homescreen.
Turn Web Filtering and Safe Websearch on or off.
Adjust Content Filter strength.
Manage the Notification Blocker.
Approve or block new apps.
Do I need my child’s phone to make changes?
No. With Remote Configuration, all adjustments can be made from your portal account, and they will sync automatically to the phone as long as it’s connected to the internet.
Can my child override remote changes?
No. Only parents with portal access and the SafetyMode password can make changes. Children cannot override or disable remote settings.
What if the phone is offline?
If the phone is not connected to the internet, your changes will be queued in the Manage Portal and applied as soon as the device reconnects.
Is Remote Configuration secure?
Yes. All changes are made through an encrypted parent login and require your account credentials. Children cannot access the portal.
