Web Filtering
Web Filtering blocks access to adult or unsafe websites and enforces safe search across apps and browsers, helping your child browse the internet securely.

What is Web Filtering?
Web Filtering is a SafetyMode setting that blocks adult and harmful websites from being opened. It also enables “Safe Websearch,” which filters results in search engines and app browsers to reduce exposure to inappropriate content.
How do I turn Web Filtering on or off?
On the Other Phone:
Scroll to the bottom of the homescreen and tap Options.
Select Enter SafetyMode, then enter your parental control password.
Tap Block Adult Websites.
Toggle the setting on or off.
Does Web Filtering block all websites?
No. Web Filtering blocks websites on a maintained adult-site list and prevents known unsafe content, but your child can still access safe, everyday websites. Adding Safe Websearch gives extra protection by filtering results inside apps and browsers.
Can my child change the Web Filtering settings?
No. Only parents with the SafetyMode password can enable or disable Web Filtering. Children cannot turn this off themselves.
Can I manage Web Filtering remotely?
Yes. Using the Manage Portal, you can remotely enable or disable Web Filtering and Safe Websearch. Changes made in the portal are applied automatically on your child’s phone.
Why am I still seeing an unsafe website?
If you notice an unsafe site getting through, it may not yet be on the blocklist. We recommend reporting it through the Manage Portal so it can be reviewed and added to the filter system.
Does Web Filtering work inside apps too?
Yes. Even if your child tries to open a link from another app (like a school app or messaging app), the website will still be blocked if it’s on the restricted list.
