Notification blocker

The Notification Blocker stops apps you’ve disabled from sending notifications, keeping your child’s device distraction-free.

What is the Notification Blocker?

The Notification Blocker is a SafetyMode setting that prevents apps you’ve removed from the homescreen from sending notifications. This means your child won’t see alerts or reminders from apps they can’t use.

How do I turn the Notification Blocker on or off?

On the Other Phone:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the homescreen and tap Options.

  2. Select Enter SafetyMode, then enter your parental control password.

  3. Tap Set Notification Filter.

  4. Use the toggle to turn the Notification Blocker on or off.

Do notifications stop completely when the blocker is enabled?

Yes. Once enabled, notifications from disabled apps are completely hidden - your child won’t see banners, pop-ups, or sounds from those apps.

Can my child change the Notification Blocker settings?

No. Only parents with the SafetyMode password can adjust the Notification Blocker. Children can’t change these settings from their phone.

What happens if I turn the blocker off?

If the Notification Blocker is off, your child will still see incoming notifications from disabled apps, but they won’t be able to open or use those apps.

Can I manage the Notification Blocker remotely?

Partly. Through the Manage Portal, you can decide which apps appear on your child’s homescreen. If you remove an app remotely, the Notification Blocker will also prevent that app from sending notifications - without you needing to access the phone directly.

Why am I still seeing notifications from a blocked app?

This usually means the Notification Blocker hasn’t been turned on, or the app hasn’t been fully disabled from the homescreen. Re-enter SafetyMode settings, check the Notification Filter toggle, and make sure the app is removed from the homescreen.
